My friend had one, they puff out stuff that looks like real smoke so that you feel like you're having a cigarette. His only complaint was that you could smoke it too much and the nicotine dose would make you feel sick.

Any RL examples of someone actually quitting with the help of these E-ciggies?
I'm not smoking regularly anymore now (stopped almost 2 yrs ago) but still have not quit altogether because of random mad cravings, so I'm quite curious if this might be something that will help.

I will be honest and say that it will help with the "mad" cravings. Have been using them since I last posted and will say that I have saved over $200 from buying cigarettes. also have felt better than I used to in a long time....although right now I am sick due to some bug that is going around in my area, the hacking that used to happen when i was smoking regular cigarettes has gone away but still have a bad cough.

I, too, started feeling better very soon after I stopped regular smoking, particularly wrt cough. Also got my fine sense of smell back - which is both good and bad because now I can smell not just the nice stuff but everything.

I should probably look into buying these e-cigs, if my cravings don't go away by themselves.

I hqave quit cigs all together with the only exceptiun being I used the e-cig till I was off cigs to help with that craving. i no longer crave that sensation at all.
In fact I cant stand the smell of it . yuck !

I'm hoping I'll manage without them - I mostly have cravings in specific circumstances, and have to make a conscious effort not to think of cigarettes then. And I still love the smell In fact, I crave the entire sensation of holding a cig, seeing it, smelling and inhaling tobacco smoke. Ohhh, quitting is not easy. (My boss at work being a heavy smoker does not help it, either.)

I'm going to try and give up again. I only smoke at the weekend if I go to the pub, but last night I was smoking and drinking so much that I've felt crap all day - I really think smoking worsens your hangover.

It does make it worse!
Too bad that drinking and smoking tend do go hand in hand - for me, at least. I have some of the worst cravings when I drink.
