and that is saying a LOT, Bob! Your collection is mythic. You ever want to unload that lettered Kali, I'm first in line!

There are pics on the Earthling website but I took some of my copy anyway. The description I lifted from Earthling. Only 15 lettered copies and a few PC copies.
"The lettered edition of SONG OF KALI is bound with a Nigerian goat leather spine that is rounded with raised ribs and gold stamping. Front and back boards are covered with Ann Muir hand marbled paper, with a gold stamped leather label on the front cover, Fabriano end papers, silk bead headbands, and a satin ribbon marker. The book is housed in a handmade traycase covered with black rayon Japanese cloth, with leather spine labels, and the interior is lined with Japanese Momi paper."

That is, truly, a work of art. Magnificent!

Very nice -- thanks for sharing those pics. I'd never seen a lettered, either.
Beautiful book. I like just reading the description on how the book was made.
My Simmons Holy Grail for sure! One of the most gorgeous editions I've ever seen.

Never seen anything better. Splendid looking book.
I prefer Albanian goat leather spines myself.
Summer of Night pre-orders just went live at subterranean.

I would like to get these but there's only so many authors I can collect. Not enough funds for all of them.
I've spent a little too much with the Ziesings last month so the money's a little scarce now. I'll see if I can get it on lay-a-way from Camelot. Palumbo caught my attention with his work on Centipede's edition of The Anubis Gates. His art is what sold me on Summer of Night.
Down to one lettered left.
And it's gone.
I've been clamoring for a S/L of his book for a long while, but at $250 I think I'm probably priced out, especially after some recent splurges. Very, very disappointing.
When the world has ended, I'm up in the clouds and the disembodied, all-powerful voice of the universe says unto me, "all that lies within my kingdom is yours should you but guess my name," I'm going to reply, "Dan Simmons?"
