I remember someone posted some links on where signed copies of The Fifth Heart could be purchased but I can't find the post. I really would like to buy one before he goes to the event so I can get an inscribed copy.

I don't see anything about an inscription on PP's website. Should I add a note when I check out and that's it?
Hmmmm - I can't remember whether I ordered an inscribed or flat-signed copy. . . . if inscriptions are available, I'd prefer one for sure. Please let us know if you're able to request an inscription!
Something for the High-End Simmons collectors...
I will be selling my Subteranean Press Lettered "Drood" and "Flashback" 1/26 editions, whenever I can be bothered to put them on ebay.
NICE! I have both of these already, but good luck with the auction!! If you (or anyone) is looking to sell lettered editions of Black Hills, Ilium, Olympos, Song of Kali, Hyperion, or Fall of, let me know. . .!
I also just ordered a signed copy. I love Simmons' historical works.
John
John (holy crap - I remember you from back in the SKEMERs - or was it Koontz List - days!!),
Nice! Yes, Simmons writes some amazing historical fiction. . .whatever the genre, he's never had a stinker in my opinion!
John - yes, I recognized your name after at least 15 years. Must have been mid/late 90s?
Yep, sure did!! Wonder what happened to all the regulars. . .
There is a SKEMERs group on Facebook, but not very active.

Bev - yes, I'm still a member of SKEMERs on Facebook, but the group is moribund; nothing at all like its glory days of newsletter e-mails!!
Sadly, Simmons is not going to be anywhere near me (I live in New York). . . not even Jersey! Ugh. Very jealous of you guys who live out west!! Had to get my signed copy of FH via mail order.
Hi Noah, according to Dan's website The PP will pass on your inscription request. Well fingers crossed they will as I have requested one. He certainly never visits New Zealand so I also have to rely on mail order.

Hey Jules!
Well I just went back & checked my order, and sure enough I did request an inscription! So, my fingers are crossed too!! Thanks for the note. New Zealand!!! Wow, that's so cool!!!

Jules - Thanks!!! Still missing a couple of key Simmons items though. New Zealand - super-exotic to us here in the USA! I can imagine how much it costs to have books shipped. Receiving books here from the UK, for example, shipping is $25 - $30 for a single book sometimes. Ugh.
Bev - NIIIIIIICE!! Front row! How was the the talk? Looking forward to my signed copy from Poisoned Pen, but it's no substitute for actually being there. Also pre-ordered the numbered & lettered S/L of Fifth Heart as well. . .
He was entertaining -- he read the dinner party scene from The Fifth Heart after talking a bit, then fielded some questions. In addition to TFH, I had him sign my ARC of Drood and my World Horror Convention program book that has an excerpt from his unpublished novel Vastation. The latter is especially special to me, since I wrote the appreciation of Simmons for the book.

Bev - that's AWESOME! I think it's great that Simmons will sign other stuff as well. Was there a limit? Most book signings I attend, the writer will sign as many books as you want. When I saw Joe Hill, the bookstore said there was a 3-book limit, but Hill very generously offered to sign as many books as people brought. That's the one downside to King signings - he only signs the current book. Surely due to time & numbers - the poor guy would be swamped otherwise.
Anyway, that's great. Can you share a photo of the WHC programme??
The store rules were The Fifth Heart + two older titles on the first pass. If you had more books, you could go to the back of the line once everyone else had been called.
I'll share a better picture of the WHC book later -- here's the cover for now:

Bev - nice!!! Can't find a copy of that for sale anywhere!! That's great that Simmons was cool with people cycling through a few times to get more than 3 signed books.
