He is doing well. He's working on The King of Shadows, the next Matthew Corbett book. He told me that it's a "big book." I assume it'll come in around the length of Freedom of the Mask, but that's just a guess from what he's said. He told me last week that he still has about 100 pages to go....

McCammon is one of the best kept secrets in the book world.

Absolutely. I have no idea why, after more than four decades of writing amazing novels, and shorts, so few people have actually read him - or even heard of him.
Such a shame really.

I was looking for the cheapest S/L of Cardinal Black and stumbled on this listing. Not only is that a good price for just the S/L but it's also bundled with the SST limited and the trade edition.

Anyone know where I can find just the slipcase for the River City Publishing edition of Speaks the Nightbird?

My guess this is probably not going to be an easy find.

Yeah, he came down to $900 so I went ahead and bought it. Up until today all I had were the trade editions of the Corbett series and trying to buy all the S/L's separately would have been a hell of lot more than $900 once I had all 7. I bought it early today and it says it'll be here tomorrow already. It's coming from Iowa and I'm in the Chicago area so it doesn't have far to travel. Glad he went with UPS.

Too bad he didn't have the slipcase for Speaks the Nightbird. Looks like I'll be on the lookout for that one.

Still missing MS, PR, and RoS. Had a deal worked on MS but the seller seems to have gotten cold feet. I get TQoB and CB in the mail tomorrow. I will finish RoS tomorrow-epic story. The series is so amazing.
