Persona 5 Royale is on Game Pass. I think I'll have to see what the all the fuss is about.

Since it's Halloween season I figured that I'd finally finish RE7. Turns out I don't own it. Oops. Playing RE4 for the first time in over a decade instead. I can't help but think how great this game is going to play in a remake. I keep thinking just how great this game would be if I could be more mobile. Leon can do a lot, but walking and chewing bubblegum at the same time ain't one.

It's going to be hard to improve on perfection, but yeah Leon being able to walk and aim at the same time like a normal human being will definitely be one such improvement lol.
Dude, you need to play RE7 & 8. They're both masterful at creating dread just from the sound design alone. I'm playing through 8 right now and there is not a single moment where I feel 'safe'. There is always ominous growling from the bushes or creaking floor boards or the hurrying of foot steps and you're never quite sure where its coming from or when its going to pop out at you. Even just the sound of wind whistling through the trees is off-putting. Its amazing.
For whatever reason the newer Resident Evil games haven't managed to grip me the way they did in the past. I play for an hour or two. Stop. Move onto something else. Before I know it, 6 months has gone by. Granted I've been pretty OCD with games the past year or so, suddenly dropping games I've been into for weeks and moving on. But the RE games have been the worst. I mean, gathering every treasure in the Ezio trilogy didn't stop be from replaying those games in the past year. I've been kind of waiting for the gold edition to be nice and cheap so I can play all the DLC for RE7. I haven't seen it lower than 30 bucks yet. Village I kind of think I should wait until I'm on next gen to play.

I'm playing RE4 again on NG+ and flying through it. I got to about halfway through the castle in an evening.

I bought this awesome little Zelda-inspired indie game called Tunic. Have y'all played it? Don't be fooled by its cutesy exterior, it's actually a pretty challenging isometric exploration game.
Anyway, that's just an appetizer to hold me over until the main course next week...
Spoiler:
Even though people seem to dislike it, I'm a TMP guy. Once it's got the exclusive upgrade it never becomes useless. It's only weapon with variable functioning...single, semi-auto, manual burst, full auto. Very versatile with you have a delicate touch.
Other than that Red9 is my main gun. Striker for crowds or tight jams. Semi-Auto Rifle for long-range, crowds, and when I just have to much ammo for it. Broken Butterfly for bosses.
I don't think I've ever played the extra content for it so I'll probably play those after. Capcom has always been great with baking solid "DLC" into Resident Evil games

I'm an M3 or Jailbreaker guy. You can clear pretty much the whole game with those weapons. H&K PSG for long distance.
I never got into the TMP but that is my son's weapon of choice also. I really like the Red 9 once it's fully upgraded and you can't go wrong with the Striker holding a 100 shells. I believe you can get the Chicago Typewriter after you beat Ada's campaign. It and the infinite rocket launcher make quick work of everything. They each cost a million bucks though.
You don't know my kind.....You don't my mind.....Dark necessities are part of my design.....
Yeah I've almost got enough to buy the infinite rocket launcher. I think if I sold all the gems that I've saved the entire game I would end up with around 850-875k. Also have a couple of treasures to sell and will get drops during the rest of the Island portion of the game, so if I can have infinite rocket launcher by the time I get to Saddler I'll be happy. It would be nice to fuck Krauser up with it tho.

Well never mind, already have the infinite rocket launcher and haven't even got to krauser yet. Gonna fuck that mook up.

God dangit. The RE8 DLC takes you back to House Beneviento. Instead of the weird baby its freaking mannequins that chase you when you're not looking at them (Doctor Who style).

I've started up Resident Evil 6. I've heard a lot of mixed things.. mostly negative things, but also some good things sprinkled in. But I know it's poor reception to being a big action game is why Resident Evil 7 went in the totally opposite direction. I still have Revelations 2 to play as well. I loved Revelations... real old school fun.

RE6 gets a lot of hate cause it doubled down on what RE4/5 did and went mostly full spectacle. Honestly I had a lot of fun with it. The different play styles for each of the playable characters gives it variety and it handles amazingly well.
If you're an RE fan you'll enjoy it.

How do you guys feel about the Silent Hill 2 remake? I can't recall if I played the game back in the day or not.
