    Can anyone tell me who was the first UK Publisher to print The Wastelands? I'm building up my collection with UK first publications

    As far as I know it was Sphere, ISBN 0-7474-1188-3, 8 pounds 99 pence, 1992, trade (large size) paperback, 512 pp with color illustrations.
    I'm sure if there is intelligent life somewhere out there in the universe, they are wise enough to stay away from us.

    And the people bowed and prayed, to the cell phone god they made...

    Ur2nd has got it right, the first three volumes were published by Sphere. If you want the true first editions then don't confuse the Sphere books with the Sphere Overseas printings.     Thanks, I have the first two in paperback printed by sphere but having trouble finding the Waste Lands by sphere. was it published in 1991? do you know who got the rights in the UK for the later books?

    I used to be a stickler for details like this and according to my records THE WASTELANDS was published by Sphere in January of 1992. I found this information in LOCUS magazine.
    I'm sure if there is intelligent life somewhere out there in the universe, they are wise enough to stay away from us.

    And the people bowed and prayed, to the cell phone god they made...
