I kind of hate the new version of Vbulletin. It doesn't have anything to do with this site or the people setting it up, but with Vbulletin itself. It makes me throw up a little in my mouth.

I miss the Unread Posts thing in the upper right hand corner of the page. I keep moving my mouse over there and then realizing it's gone.

I hate all the white background!
It's very hard on the eyes and the text is hard to read against so bright a background.
I would go so far to say that it would result in me spending much less time on the site since it is so hard on the eyes.

I love the Take Five theme, looks sleek and similar to what we used to have, maybe even beter.
For now, you can change the theme at the bottom of the page to something a little more tolerable.

Jean, you can find Who's Online in the drop-down bar under Quick Links at the top of the page (under the Forum tab). As for the gender, I'm not sure. I guess we'll have to find out the old fashioned way

Maybe this should be announced in a marquee on top of the page so that everybody sees that this is an option? At first, I also thought that the vBulletin default skin was 'it'.
*edit* and I could get used to the Take Five skin.... the only thing is that I'm not too keen on the 'sand' pattern - I'd rather see a plain, earth-tone background. Same goes for the canvas (or whatever) strips, they make the white lettering a bit harder to read. That said, I'm never a fan of too much distracting background motifs so maybe it's just me whining
Anyway, good job guys and good luck with ironing out the last issues.
well i was all excited about the new lay out this morning, but then when i came on its all a bit bleugh. But i am off to see if i can find this take five thing thats been mentioned, but so far not having any luck.
Maybe its just change, people don't like change - known fact
edit; found the take five- its a lot easier on the eyes with the darker background, if someone could darken up the titles at the top as they are now blended in. TY

Why do we have to fix what wasn't broke?. When I read about the new management the first thing I thought was oh great, we're gonna have to re-register, lose all posts, have a skanky ass skin on the forum etc. When the only thing that happened was a new banner (that actually fit in well - unlike now as it looks ridiculous) I was well impressed, then you just had to go and fiddle about and ruin it all.
Can we have an option to select what it was before or are we stuck with take 5 or default?, because if you had a poll I'm sure the majority would prefer the old skin.
Sorry if I sound harsh guys I know you want to put your own stamp on the place but it's just really annoying when sites you use everyday go and decide to make a huge change like this.
Well, so far I don't like the new look at all. The internet is constantly changing the look of every page I go to, and just when I get comfortable with something, it changes, usually for the worse. I suppose I'll get used to this new look, but why change something that's already pleasing to the eye and that I just pretty much figured out how to use. It's like taking a comfortable old reading chair, tossing it in the trash, and replacing it with a brand new, shiny chrome and plastic contraption that makes you think more of the uncomfortableness of the chair then the book you are trying to read.
I'm sure if there is intelligent life somewhere out there in the universe, they are wise enough to stay away from us.
And the people bowed and prayed, to the cell phone god they made...
