Nice to see Blake's 7 already nominated! My nominations? Only one:

    2000s: Life on Mars (UK)

Although, I don't think anyone who's watched both would think I meant the US version for best show of the noughties, right? Especially when you compare the endings!

Blake's 7 was ace, I also loved Sapphire and Steel. I haven't nominated any (bar one) UK series though, because unless it's something like Monty Python or Dr Who, no one from the US will know what they are and they won't get voted for anyway. If we were doing UK tv series, my list would be completely different.

I know, I can't believe I forgot about this one as well. I so wish it lasted more than one season.

If Dragon Ball Z gets a mention, then Batman: The Animated Series and Gargoyles definitely do.

Eh, I know what I like. It was a bit unclear to me how that was meant to go. You didn't have to count them. Thanks though. If I may still do one 90s nomination, I think I'd prefer to go with Dream On. Meaning that News Radio and The Larry Sanders Show still need to be nominated, someone! Also, I decided to be the one to sacrifice an 80s nomination to make sure Roseanne got into this contest, but I think the best sitcom before that was probably Family Ties. How come nobody's named that one?

Well, after giving it some thought, and seeing as how there's still plenty of room for nominations and lots of great shows are yet to be nominated, I believe it's okay for people to nominate more than once in all decades. So have at it.

I've decided to limit the number of nominations to at most 40 per decade. Then we'll have 10 brackets of 4 random shows per decade with the top two advancing, and so on as usual.

    Wow, that's a lot.

Well, then, in addition to the above, right now I'll also nominate --

1950s - The Jack Benny Program

So for my part, I'll also nominate:

    1960s: The Lucy Show
    1970s: Happy Days
1980s: Saved by the Bell, Family Matters
1990s: Freaks and Geeks, King of the Hill
2000s: Coupling, Modern Family, Mad Men

I'll also go back and add to the nominations other series mentioned but not nominated.

Also, I think we should cap the 1950s and the 1960s at 20 nominations, as we're not likely to nominate as many from that time. They had like four channels back then after all!

How is that sad? I think they did fine, compared to what we use modern bandwidth for.

    1950s Lassie, Maverick
1960s The Prisoner, The Carol Burnett Show
1970s The Muppet Show, Kung Fu
    1980s Ray Bradbury Theater

Yes! I just found that channel too.
And I wish they would release the whole series on dvd too. Apparently, the show had SO much music that it's hard to get the rights to release it all on dvd. My mom got me a bootleg copy of the series for Christmas last year. It's awesome and all, but I've seen the show so much that I can remember episodes that are missing from the dvds. And some of the episodes are really bad quality. But...it's still great to have.
    I freaking love that show.

As opposed to the 1980s X-Men animation and the 2000s X-Men animation. Good choice.

pablo: Looks like you didn't get Family Ties. That's probably my last nomination for the 80s. In general, I didn't much enjoy that decade, TV included. (I'll seriously retch if someone posts Full House. )
