Finished The Thirteenth Tale. Absolutely loved it. I highly recommend it.

Now I think I'm going to go try to finish Drood. Wish me luck.

I just barely finished Hands of Isis, which was actually pretty good, and now I'm starting Lost and Found by Carolyn Parkhurst. It's starting out pretty good as well. Prior to that I read a Kristin Hannah book and another book called The Piano Teacher, which was not as good as the dude in Borders swore that it would be. I'm going to go back there and beat his ass with the book.*

I loved WICKED and really liked SON OF A WITCH. So I'm giving this one a shot. Haven't read much of it yet what with all the holiday goings on (mainly the boys on Christmas break), but I'll let you know how it goes.

Have you or Terry read LION yet? If so, how was it?

I'd love to see the stage play of WICKED. Maybe while it's still in San Francisco...

Neither of us have read Lion yet, I read Wicked at the start of the year and it's taken Terry this long to finally give into my constant nagging to actually read the damn thing - now he's hooked! (james 1 - Terry nil) he's planning to read the next one and then Lion I think.

I would literally sell my soul for a chance to go and see Wicked! It was on in London and we were going to go for our honeymoon but couldn't bloody afford it we're still to have an actual honeymoon and we've been married for 2 years now! If you go you'll have to let me know what it's like - I've listened to the soundtrack so many times I could probably act it out!! I think Kirsten Chenowith is a god!! Have you seen a show called Glee? She was in that for one episode and was just amazing!! (and the show is pretty darn good as well!)

Completely off topic, but have you seen Pushing Daisies yet? It was one of my favorite shows.

I have a big stack now thanks to Christmas. Right now I have started:

The Owl Service by Alan Garner (re-read)*
*I was excited to get a twin of the copy I read from the library as a kid:

Like I was telling you, I absolutely love that book. It's such a majestic tale of friendship, dreams not realized, second chances ... all tied together by the enigmas of vampire lore. It owns my soul.
