I am not sad Steve. Not at all. If you told me when I started collecting, I would have the books I have now, I would have
said you were crazy. It's just that, like everyone, I want more. That's all. I mean, I know I am lucky to have the two
lettered ones I have. But, as far as dedicated S\L go that I want and can afford, I am probably near the end of the
road. That's all. But, I am going to keep on pushing forward.

I just checked mine, #18, and the binding is as tight as a, well, something or other.

I can't help but cringe when I see your books opened all the way like that!

I bought mine direct from the publisher when released and it won't be "cracked" until my heirs get their greedy hands on it to sell to the highest bidder while I rant and rave at them in my ghostly form.

I don't have a case though, that must be an aftermarket add, right?

There was really no issue opening like that Steve. It did not cause any cracking or damage.
You are right though. The person who Ralph got the book from had an aftermarket case made.
It is really nice.

Don´t know why, but for me this little Dolan´s is always one of the nicest King S/Ls i know....

All 3 Suntup Johnny got his gun editions are supernice, think i need a cheap copy,
then of course i try to get a remarque from the amazing Ula Šveikauskaitė.

Thanks Frank. The Dolan's in the case is really cool. I am very happy to have it. And you are about Jonny Got His Gun. All three are nice. At least I was able to get the
AE an numbered. There are still copies at retail for the AE on Paul's web site if you really want one. You would probably have to hunt around, or ask Kris about a numbered.

Added two new items. I got the first ed hardback of The Bachman books. I am no longer going to give my opinion on the condition of the books I get. Or give the price I spent. I will say that I am very pleased with it's condition, and say that seeing what these are going for, ones that are worse than mine have been selling for a lot more than what I paid. So I am very happy. I know it's not perfect, but it is one of the better one I have seen for sale, and like I said, I have seen ones in worse condition go for a lot more Next, at some point I hope to get the first ed soft backs.

Also, I got the Suntup The Collector today. I really like it. The case and book added with letterpress printing, really make this a nice additions.

I still vividly remember being in the B.Dalton's in Northland Mall and picking through about half a dozen or more THE BACHMAN BOOKS hardcovers trying to marry a mint dust jacket with a mint book, which I did.
If I could go back in time I'd just pile every one of them up and carry them to the cash register.
