AAC. The story drove me to keep reading this book, the characters were so well done, and yet the ending left me so cold I was practically screaming "Oh come on! This is such bullshit man!! This? 1100 pages and this is how it ends?? Really? Damn."

    Haven't read.
It'll take a lot more than words and guns,
A whole lot more than riches and muscle.

The hands of the many must join as one.
And together we'll cross the river.

I felt the story was good but the ending a cop out...kinda like the "dream ending" to "Who Shot JR."

Actually the dream ending was ending to the "Oh my God, Bobby Ewing's dead, but a year later, the actor that plays him wants to come back!" story.

Anyway, most probably know what I think of this book.

    AAB.

As others have said, the ending was sub-par in my opinion. Apart from that, I thought it was fantastic. Really wish he had expanded on the aliens instead of tacking them on at the end.

Also, when I saw the symbol on the machine I was like "WTFFFFFF".

ABA from me. Most of the characters annoyed me. The kids (especially Ollie) were the only ones that I wanted to see get a happy ending. And I know that I'm in the minority when I say this but I thought that the ending wasn't at all disappointing.
And Jean, I just gotta ask, how does a B+++ end up ranking higher than an A--?

It's all the matter of natural speech versus numeric grading; it may result in those minute paradoxes.
