This would be my favorite book in The Dark Tower if it weren't for that dreadful ending.

    A, A, B.

Aside from the first book, this one 'stands alone' the best of the entire series, which only makes sense, as it's a stand alone story of Roland's youth.

The people of Mejis are really fleshed out excellently, and the story is just fantastic from start to finish.

C'mon man. Why did she have to die? Why did she have to die??? That shit broke my my fucking heart. :C

Apart from the ending, I loved it. The story was great, the characters great, and the backstory and the insight it provided into the driving forces of Roland even more so.
