I watched an oldie last night that popped up. Anyone seen Boy Wonder? It was a 2010 movie about a young vigilante and I looked it up and cause an old Ebert Review which praised it... so I watched it and it was really good! VERY dark... 7/10

Rewatched a few movies with the family this week...1917, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and Your Name, all of which I love. Me and my brother tried to watch Beverly Hills Ninja while we played crib in the cabin. When we finally tapped out and shut it 9off, I was amazed to discover we were only 22 minutes into three movie...it felt like an hour.

I decided to give Handmaiden a shot. Parasite was MUCH better. Someone compared them.... This movie was a total drag from me. 4/10.

Funny I just watched that one last night and absolutely loved it. I think I enjoyed it more than Parasite. We really are opposites on film

How much I loved it. 9/10.
ALSO: I finished a show just now called Little Fires Everywhere. It was so powerful. It’s on Prime. Watch it!

Did you guard the movie with your life?
My first proper review in nine months? Yikes! Here's my review for Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga.
A NEW GAME BEGINS
Doctor Sleep
A very, very good movie, better than I'd expected.
Fine as an adaptation; the significant changes were warranted by the need to connect to the Kubrick attempt.
Eastasia has always taught college students to feel pride or shame according to their race.
I enjoyed it and all the little ties to Kubrick's Shining. There is a director's cut that's 30 minutes longer, it's on HBO Max.
I've been dying to watch the director's cut. Also this is one of the rare instances where I actually enjoyed the movie immensely more than the book.
