    Nope.
Viewed on an Imax screen today.

Wide in scope and vision, but exasperatingly tedious, the message...if there is one fails in delivering anything of substance.
I'm fine with a great movie that leaves things up to the viewer to decipher, yet muddy water is difficult to see into.

    3/6 beers on the RFSRS.

Prey was damn good. Not a masterpiece, but a worthy addition to the Predator pantheon. It went back to the basics that made the alien such a terrifying force in the first place.

Appreciated the little callouts to past films, and I think the main actress did a great job.

    4/5

    Viewed "Emily the Criminal" yesterday.
Aubrey Plaza is a hell of an actress. Known mostly for her comic roles, she proves she is fantastic at dramas too. Saddled in student debt, and delivering food for low wages and no benefits, she accepts a friends suggestion to get a job where she can make $200 in one hour being a mystery shopper using a bogus credit card. Of course things get more tense as she takes on riskier, higher paying tasks.

    5/6 beers on the RFSRS.

Apparently no one has seen this movie, or if they did, it wasn't worth commenting on.

    Prey 4/4
Not reinventing the wheel but I can't find any fault in it.

    NOPE (X 2) 4/4
Saw it twice and want to see it again. Insidiously layered film.

    Orphan (re-watch) 3.5/4
The first watch was WTH and the second watch was LMAO.

In the Mouth of Madness (re-watch) 3.5/4
Some really bad music for the opening and ending credits and some of those practical effects didn't hold up to what The Thing still delivers. Still a freaky movie.

Yeah, it was freaky alright. Always thought of it in the same vein as "Event Horizon". That film gives me the creeps big time for some reason!! lol

Viewed "Barbarian" yesterday at the theater. Refreshing, violent, funny movie that pays homages to earlier horror films, yet blazes its own path. Great idea with some interesting changes of pace and twists. I don't want to give anything away as it's best to see with as little advance knowledge as possible.

Watched Ouija: Origin of Evil, and stange as it may sound, it was pretty good. The reviews for the first the series were not good, so my daughter and I just jumped to the sequel. It turned out to be a real fun romp. 7.5/10

I saw this today and enjoyed it. It's dark, suspenseful, and unexpectedly funny. It's definitely best to go in knowing as little as possible because there are lots of unexpected turns. It's kind of like three movies in one, really. All the performances are solid, too. I'd only dock it points because the structure makes it just a tad disjointed, and the climax reveal was one I've seen in a couple films before.

In terms of tone and batshit craziness, it kind of reminded me of Malignant.

It's definitely a fun movie and one I did not see coming. I do have a specific question about the plot that maybe someone can help with, don't read if you haven't seen....
