Did you get a chance to watch Opera yet?

Hopefully, tonight...

bears are back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I didnt go thru all 13 pages to see if this was mentioned yet, but I just watched Deadgirl.
I really need something full of fuzzy wittle kittens and puppies and baby sloth's chasing rainbows and butterflies to get this out of my head.
I lurk, therefore I am.
How many of you have seen the Spanish film [REC] ? Heather, I know you have.
That movie quickly become one of my favorite horror movies. It's furiously paced, claustrophobic, gruesome, just an all around great horror film.
I have seen it. It's ok. Much better than the sequel, anyway.

yeah it did not really suprise me at all. not many american remakes can capture the essence of the original.
If you love me then love me..
I'd be interested in hearing why because I didn't find myself being creeped out at all.
Only one excited about Paranormal Activity 2? I'd bet there's more people looking forward to that than Saw VII, which is pretty much just limited to me.
In regard to [REC], the American remake, Quarantine, was bad. Really bad.
A NEW GAME BEGINS
The Baby's Room didn't creep you out? I don't know, maybe it's just me and anything to do with ghosts makes me feel kinda uneasy. The scenes where he's watching the monitor and you see the baby interacting with "someone" or when he's carrying the monitors around and you catch glimpses of things that he can't see with his own eyes
And am I the only one that enjoyed Quarantine Maybe it's because I saw it before Rec? But I really enjoyed both of them. And it stuck pretty closely to the original, no?
Only the gentle are ever really strong.
Well, it didn't creep me out overall. But the parts that you mentioned where he's seeing the guy on the monitor and the girl dragging herself across the floor were definitely creepy.
A NEW GAME BEGINS
I don't get this. I watched both very closely together. With the exception of Quarantine adding a few intense sequences in the middle (dog attack etc) it was THE SAME movie. But on top of being almost shot for shot, I thought the sets were better, the atmosphere was better and the make up effects were better in Quarantine. REC wasn't nearly as intense as Quarantine was and it also had the charm of Jennifer Carpenter. I watched REC but Quarantine impressed me more. They are pretty much the same movie so I fail to see how the remake was so bad compared to the original, which I thought wasn't that great to begin with.
Then again, The Grudge was a shot for shot remake made by the same director and it was apparently infinitely worse as well. I know Sarah Michelle Gellar and her boyfriend in it are awful but the rest wasn't much different.

I haven't seen [REC], so I can't compare and contrast both films.

You've hardly seen any Dr Who, and you compare that to Lost all the time!

It'll take a lot more than words and guns,
A whole lot more than riches and muscle.
The hands of the many must join as one.
And together we'll cross the river.
