i knew persistance would pay off! I snagged a copy off amazon marketplace for . . . $13! i had my doubts, even after I asked if it was a first printing (listing just stated it was a first edition). But it showed up today, full number line and the "Fabio" cover art. sweet!

This is on my list of books to read very soon. Many fans of George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series have recommended it to me as "smart" fantasy, much like ASOIAF. Even though I haven't read the book yet, I'm "friends" with Rothfuss on Facebook and read his blog. He seems like such an interesting, down to Earth guy.
