I like fine art, and I'm not saying this artwork shouldn't be in it, but I'm not sure how those pieces are supposed to go with the story. They are dark and gorgeous, that's for sure.

That's so true! I remember being in high school and detesting the fact that I had to read required reading and couldn't just read through The Stand or Nightmares & Dreamscapes.
