Got to agree with you on that.
The signature doesn't look bad to me - but the inscription and the slashes on the date seem a bit off compared to the 80s copies I've got here. On the fence, I think it's OK, but I aren't bidding.
On a side note, I remember being offered a signed Ian Fleming book a few years back, signed "Ian Fleming, 22nd June 1966". It took me a while to realise it, but he died in 1964.
Someone should offer him a couple of cheap books at a cheap price...mark them in some way...and see if they turn up signed a few weeks later...
