Small Mercies by Dennis Lehane
I'm also reading Winslow. I just finished City on Fire and am 1/3 of the way through the sequel, City of Dreams.
On a nostalgia kick, I'm reading Murder by the Book by Rex Stout. I met Stout's daughter at Bouchercon in late October and attended a "Wolfe Pack" meeting.
Me, too!
Elevator Pitch by Linwood Barclay
Just finished BONFIRE by Krysten Ritter, the actress from Jessica Jones and Breaking Bad. I was very impressed by it -- a good thriller. I had the pleasure of meeting Ms Ritter over the weekend.
Oh, that is on my must-read list! How is it so far, Bev?[/QUOTE]
Really good -- she's an excellent writer, and it's as much about her quest as it is about the mystery itself.
I'll Be Gone in the Dark: One Woman's Obsessive Search for the Golden State Killer by Michelle McNamara
Behind her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough. I keep hearing about the OMG/WTF ending, so I can't wait to find out what that's about.
Re-boot.
You'd get no argument from me.
End of Watch
Drood, for all its length, was a much faster read for me than The Terror.

Wind/Pinball, two early novellas by Haruki Murakami
All three of her books are very good.
Interesting. It has a quasi-pseudo-somewhat metafictional aspect to it. I'm only about 1/4 of the way through.

Have you seen any of the BBC adaptations? It's pretty good.
