Oh man, sorry to hear this. I've read the first three as well and was planning to start the fourth soon. :(
I enjoyed the film of THE MARTIAN, but I loved the book so much more.
For me, HORNS > HEART-SHAPED BOX.
Currently reading REPLAY, by Ken Grimwood.
I like it. I think I'm glad to have read the original first though. Having read the series already the revised version makes sense though.[/QUOTE]
I agree. I'm also glad that I read the original...
The GRRM ASOIAF audiobooks are unabridged and therefore, as Heather said, insanely long. I love the reader. I listened to all of them on a series of 6-hour drives I was doing for a while.

On topic, currently reading: Old Man's War, by John Scalzi.
The Long Walk is one of my favorite King books, Bachman or otherwise.
Currently reading, World War Z.

Are you past the part with the potatoes? It gets better once NASA comes into the story.

 Yeah, I've gotten past the potato part, but I'm still finding it hard to sink into the...
This is on my (relatively) short list of books to read. Maybe I should bump up its priority.
Currently reading, THE MARTIAN, by Andy Weir, and loving it.
Now reading Stephen King's new novel released today: MR. MERCEDES.
Jean, that is a great perspective! I never thought about that. Happy you have that experience!
Currently reading THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY, by Irving Stone. I've meant to start this book for...
