Man, does it ever. TV may have never been better than it was then. Breaking Bad maybe a distance 2nd.
Someone could even do a Lord of Rings type thing for TDT over 3/4 movies. And give us 4 hour...
I can be Randall Flagg. Just need to lose 45 pounds.
We can do amazing things with green screens. Besides, there's cake and pizza.
I sure hope we aren't only left with that shitty movie.
I like where they planning to start this. W&G was my favorite book in the serious outside of TDOTT. I do hope that it builds up enough steam to circle back to book one and two.
It took over a decade last time to get the thing off the ground. I'm not holding my breath. Especially after whatever that was showed up in theatres.
If it does come to pass; hopefully a new thread will be created to discuss it and the project will be worthwhile.
Gotta love where this thread has gone to
Redbox.
Been tens years of :deadhorse:, what's another 10? Hopefully someone will start up another thread if/when the series gets a TV spot and the world will move on. Have to commend you faithful though.
Exactly. Admittedly, I have yet to see the film but; it seems they (the folks who made it), took a big ol' dump in a brown paper bag, sat it on the porch of the Constant Readers, and lit it afire....
I'm honestly surprised that this thread hasn't been closed yet.
I imagine they will proceed.. BUT TV only... which is the way to do this right anyways...
Amen!
So bottom line. Is it worth seeing for $7.50 and another $20 in concession cost :)
So we thinking rental here? I thought all along that it should have gotten the GoT treatment. It took 27 years for IT to recover from that awful miniseries and hit the big screen. Hopefully we don't...
That dude is just the essence of cool
Will have to check both out!
I love the SK universe trailer (if that's what we're calling)! And Idris killed it in narrating it. Matter of fact I'd love to hear Idris narrate each book unabridged! My hope is that maybe this will...
