Thanks again Mae for all dedication and hard work running the tournament! Too bad it ended in a tie, but I guess that just goes to show what strong films they both are.

I'm actually not even sure if I finished S3?
Two great films for the finale. I'm going with Rear Window, as that one's pretty hard to top for me. I know there was talk about the camera work 12 Angry Men in the semifinal thread, but I think...
I don't remember that either. Can you refresh my memory.
Easy choice for me. Rear Window is one of my favorite Hitchcock films, and one of my favorites of the decade.
12 Angry Men. The camera work in that film is masterful. It'll be interesting to have it go up against Rear Window, which also has excellent camera work.
But JD is so hot!
That's why I voted for Rebel Ultimately.:innocent:
Agreed! :D
Honestly out of all the films left, I would have loved for these 2 to be in the finals...
This. The constant price increase has made me want to cancel my subscription. I might too, and just rejoin for a month here and there. There's just too many streaming services now, and this is one of...
I'm a bit shocked that the poll is so close. And for the record I voted for Vertigo.
Yeah, in an ideal situation, maybe there would be a way to rank them without groupings. But then that also wouldn't be much fun either.
It does, and I think I ask every tournament  It just seems like as we progress thru the tournament that better films are pitted against each other sending one home, while lesser ranked ones...
I voted for Rebel because
1. It's hard for me to vote against Dean and
2. I didn't want to see it sitting down there with no votes
That said, I know Rear Window will move and should as it...
My apologies because I'm sure you've gone over this numerous times, but just curious how you set up the groupings? Why is it 1 vs 5 and 4 vs 8? Instead of 1 vs 8 and 4 vs 5? Seems like lots of good...
Thanks Ari! Just checked and they end in 1980. Happy to have at least found that one.
Cleaning out my grandparents house, and came across a box of old Yankee magazines up in the attic. Found this gem in amongst the others. I believe it's King's first appearance in this magazine. I...
I voted for Streetcar
I'm a huge Hitchcock fan, but was never big on Vertigo. I know alot of people consider it one of his best, but I don't think it would even make my personal top 10. Maybe I need to rewatch it.
That's what I was thinking too. When people mention The Fly they're almost always talking about the remake and not the original. It's one of the few instances where I think the remake eclipses the...
So happy its moving on. Although I'm a bit alarmed at how close this one was. Especially considering how well Rebel was doing up till this point.
This really is craziness. I obviously voted for Rebel just in case we need to state votes, but hopefully a few more people come in and vote before it closes. I can only imagine some of those votes...
