I went through the original. I don't have the revised.
I've just finished it for the 2nd time although I went straight back to it after I finished it (I listen to and from work which is 2 hours a day).
I just had to wonder what the hell was I...
I've just finished The Gunslinger for the 2nd time as I make my 2nd round through the series.
I found some answers (somewhat) but have more questions about the Man in Black which hopefully I can...
Just finished The Gunslinger as I attempt to walk through to the end of the Dark Tower again.
After reading it, I came up with more questions than answers. It read like a different book though...
Was it the twitch in the eye tha gave that away? :)
I don't think I've enjoyed a series more than this. It numbed and exhausted me at the end but $#!@$%@#$^ I've got to push on!!
I myself have just finished The Dark Tower series over the weekend (I listened to it going to and from work. I need to waste 2 hours a day.)
I am NOW currently reading/listening as of Monday...

What else am I...
I would pick the character that resembled me the most. I would pick Cuthbert. He has a temper but also comes along with some comic relief when warranted...or even when it is not...but it usually...
HA HA! That was great! You never expect to hear Roland come up with a comical line like that but that came out of nowhere. Then again, how much of it was meant to be a joke?
I had Song of Susannah as my least favorite. To be honest, there really isn't a good answer as to why. None I can really consider not good. I loved them all. And as the series went on, it seemed...
I like this quote a lot. It is chilling yet comical.
A couple of quotes that I like that are comical that come from Eddie (of course)
1. Ka Ka when referring to how he feels about Roland's Ka....
I just finished them and after that ending I'm starting over again. But my favorites the first time through would be:
The Dark Tower
The Wastelands
Wolves of the Calla
The Gunslinger
The...
All of you make very valid points and a good discussion. I would love to see it adapted to a film (now that I've read the story first). I think with Marvel plotting out the comics, it starts as a...

How did you discover the Dark Tower? - A friend from work told me of the series and I blew through the whole thing in 4 months which for me is good since I am a slow reader. Has to be the best...
