I see. I read only the email SP sent out last week. Maybe I didn't see the part about the slipcase. $175 seems a little more reasonable now.

If money's an issue (and at $175 for a book without a slipcase it just might be), there's also the option of getting it on layaway from Camelot.
So, hey. Subterranean have a 50% off sale going and there are some pretty good deals to be had, for example Summer of Night SL for $125, new Tim Powers SL for $30 etc.

As already discussed, a letter of provenance from Subterranean should be enough. And what Camelot does with their profit is still no one's business. Kim might come here to explain things so the...
No, I mean, it's no one's business what Camelot does with their income and what charitable organizations they donate to. I should've quoted t-dogs post for clarity.
It's also no one's business.
C'mon, really? None of you Calvin Corner junkies bought a SubPress Silence of the Lambs? I guess it is possible since it hasn't sold out yet....
There's a lettered on eBay for $1500...
I wonder why is Alan Moore's Voice of the Fire $15 cheaper than Cline and Weir? A multi-million best-selling author with multiple movie adaptations vs. two debut novels and one movie still to come. ...
What's the outlook on this guy? Not read much about him.
I think his books are great. Many people don't seem to like him because his books aren't easy reads, but I don't find him...

SP is killing it
I haven't read it yet, but have heard wonderful things and love Alan Moore so picked up a copy of the lettered edition. I have heard... not the best... things about the introduction by Gaiman though....
Just ordered Voice of the Fire from SP. What a great story. It took me over a year to read it but it was well worth it. Too bad Gaiman's introduction from the previous edition isn't included.
His art is nuts. I'll be getting that Vance but I'll hold off until it's closer to publication date.
Amazon.ca's price is higher than cover price. Ditto new Ellison collection.
Most available to US only, even the OOP ones.
I have the trade of The Spectral Link. I think the difference is only in cloth v. leather binding and a signature page. It's a pretty slim volume and I couldn't justify paying $60 for it. It's the...
Full price for dented books.
Let us never complain about King's signature ever again.
I generally like them but some of their signed editions are pretty disappointing. When the only difference is the signature page and cloth vs. leather(ette?), that doesn't really justify the price. ...
