Here are some photos of a lettered and numbered of the same book to show differences. Price point matters in SP editions. A $300 lettered will be much different than a $750+ lettered.

They made a similar traycase for the lettered edition and this one was based on that design.

Jeff does have The Martian slipcase design. He also has a hollographic foil like what the publisher used.
It's actually in the Catalog under the lettered edition (roman numeral of 10). These have been auctioned off in previous years for the Haven fundraiser.

So the thing about getting a lettered book from SP is to buy it separately. The time it takes to add other items, the lettered will sell out. You will have to pay extra shipping, but it saves time...

OMG that's terrible. I just went and checked mine and looks like I kept it loosely in the plastic bag it came in fearing the blue might transfer to another book. It's not stuck to the bag at all.
