Yeah, the "King," and especially the "g" seem off.
It's possible it's just an ugly/rushed sig, but I wouldn't buy it.

I've dealt with this seller as well; even met him in person when he traveled to the U.S. and bought one of my books. Sat down and had a drink with him and chatted about book collecting in general...
Well, not to defend the guy (b/c I agree he is notorious), but he does show a First Edition book married to a later DJ, and says as such in large bold print.
Well, if you buy it be sure and don't return it, or he'll charge you $2,000 to re-stock it on the shelf.
I don't know. Seems representative of King's more recent sigs, like from the last year or so. Leaning towards good.
I just sold a First Edition copy of The Shining with the following listing: Stephen King THE SHINING First Edition R49 VG+ book in NF DJ *Beautiful!*. Had 10 or so photos showing all points and...
I notice he doesn't say who the book is signed by.
allstarbooks is scum, but that sig looks good to me.
I think the second one is probably legit. But it is rushed and fugly.
I think it's good.
Probably not after a bid. I wasn't real clear on the timeline of events, honestly. Just brainstorming.
I didn't see any part of the auction, but based on the description here I'm wondering if the seller hotlinked someone else's photo and the other person swapped it out for a blatantly horrid sig to...
Ack! That's terrible.
I think its good. Fugly, but legit. My opinion only; I've been an outlier at times.
Good lord, it's like they don't even try to make the forgery look like King's signature. I could do better than that, and I write like shit!
No no no
I've seen some scribbly-looking "King" or "Knig" sigs, but never one with no "n" whatsoever. And there's no loop at all on the "g" which is gives me concern.
It's so ugly but seems in line with recent King rushed signatures.
Of course he replied to your comment. You basically called him an uneducated price-gouger. He responded with a factual, polite reason for his prices. And you double down and hit him again with...
It's really not our job to police other people's prices. What's it to you what he lists for? The market is the ultimate gauge anyway. The books will either sell or they won't.
