of course... all that is hypothetical guess-work... who knows what the intentions really were other than the seller.
That won't work. Apparently (and we don't know for sure yet), the book certainly can sell for over $800. If bidders retracted down to ~$800, I'm not sure what would lead the seller to think they...
or to re-list it on ABE as a "different" copy... and hope people are dumb enough to see this auction and think they are getting a good deal on the "new" ABE copy
