Well, I'm sorry then, because I approached this as a cinephile, weighing each candidate against the entirety of world cinema. For me Nolan wouldn't rate anywhere in the top 30 or so, maybe even top...
How is this even possible? Nolan? Greatest director? Maybe in another decade or two when we can objectively judge his work. Hitchcock all the way. Kubrick should've been second.
