Yeah, I guess prices have gone up since I was still collecting :) if I find a reasonably priced one I'll let you know.
The Carrie ARC is not very hard to find, fortunately. You'll get one if you want to. I owned a few different copies and the cheapest one I got was $500 (it was a while ago, though).
I owned two different copies, not sure where they are now :) but it's a scarce one!
*edit: all the older UK proofs are scarce, of course. For me, the hardest ones were the UK Thinner proof (found...
Same here, my son just turned four :emot-roflolmao:
Congrats!!!
A great sale and I'm sure that everybody involved is very happy with how this turned out. Congratulations Alec, on a once-in-a-lifetime acquisition!
Same here... interesting!
Great news, David!
It's kind of sad to see this up for sale - I know the owner has put in a LOT of work to find all of these items. But this is how it goes sometimes.
That's too bad... thank you for clarifying!
If the consignee is who I think she is (I think you referred to a 'her'), I hope she's fine. Would be great if she dropped by on the forum again.

I don't know if the...
The Cell auction suffered from the recent mini-surge of Cell proofs after a very long dry spell, I think. I'm somewhat surprised that Four Past Midnight had no takers. I am NOT surprised that the...
Less than 90 minutes until the silent auction ends!
Well, this time this is different as it is a silent auction, no?[/QUOTE]
No. Only a few items are 'silent auction', the other almost 200 items are not.
That sucks. One thing I've learned is to have an email ready the moment the consignment goes live so you can get your wants in the mail and out the door ASAP. I remember a consignment a few years ago...
You did the right thing George. I could not resist throwing $$ at David and his consignee when I should know better after buying a house. And today I upped the ante by exploring the possibilities of...
Anyone ready/willing to disclose whether they bid on one or more of the silent auctions?
At first I wasn't sure but I rather like the Baker's Dozen idea now. And great pricing on those!
