Actually media storage is different then audio storage. Audio storage is for the cabinets that hold audio equipment, which some of these items are very heavy like receivers.
I was going to add. If you can get a nice solid wood type audio cabinet, that is also an interesting route. I had two and have sold the one because of shrinking my collection. They worked nice,...
Doors are a must to keep out the dust. Anything really tall, you would have to latch onto studs onto the wall. I like shorter cases. I have two really nice matching ones that are oak and I...
A couple of my bookcases are 48" tall Mike, so I think you should be able to find something easily, plus they do sell cases 36" high as well. As for electrical code, I remember certain states were...
There are figures from the Assassins Creed ( I'm a fan of the series :) ) then there are some from Game of a Thrones my best book series and some Iron Man statues. Yes I know it is a geek thing but...
There are a lot of books there toppo! Nice! Question: What type of figures are those in the case?
Can't go wrong with those. They look great and are very easy to assemble.
I was in the process of building one last night when I noticed that the front of the bottom shelf is unfinished. ...
Thanks, I remember you guys talking about gaps. Are you referring to the tall ones?
The collectors nightmare. It's the obsession, the hobby, the fanatic, the curse. I did a search for stone gargoyle bookends as I was curious about getting another pair. Always loved the stories...
Thanks again! I have to admit, I always liked the older wood types. But, many people here like the billy ones from Ikea. Those are pretty nice too. If I ever needed another one, that might be my...
Thanks Bill! As you can see I have much open space. A good/bad thing. But with some books eventually on their way, it will fill up too fast.
I posted this bookcase awhile ago, but, I found an identical one in Daytona Beach, painted it to match the older one, and now have twins! I was super excited as I loved how these turned out. As for...
This thread has been quiet. I've been super busy with moving and was able to get these pretty damn cheap. They are side by side bookcases that are pretty heavy. I decided to leave them as is.

Thank you. What could possibly go wrong?
:D
Gas fireplace, nothing. Wood fireplace.....that could perhaps be bad as I've seen sparks fly and go places I never thought possible.
I think you did a nice job Patrick. Just don't put the fireplace on high......
Thanks Brian! Fingers crossed this goes well!
If you UV laminate the windows and use Brodart covers then you should be fine.
I helped Jeremy (herbertwest) purchase some film and he was happy with it....
At least with the pictures, AKC seems to be into limited edition only unless he has other shelves with more books....I'd assume so. I've thought about that too. As in moving away from the normal...
