Nice find. I always held off the stand alone issues and bought the hard cover collections but I'm thinking of buying this series since it's the last. I can't decide.
I voted for The Dark Tower for a few reasons.
1. After reading 7 books to finally see a "resolution" was very satisfying. Roland is hard headed and therefore doomed to his fate. I just loved...
Wishful thinking I guess. I don't really like thinking of casting this movie since it's so far out. It'll probably be like 10 years before we get to see it on screens.
I can see him being Peter. That's actually a good choice that I never really thought of. However, I know it might be kinda dumb but when I was reading I always thought of James Cromwell as Peter...
Bale seems a bit too young for Roland BUT in some parts of the story that would work, other parts I think they would have to "dirty" him up, so to speak. But it has to mean something when I read...
Just wanted to say hey. haha I joined this place a couple years ago and I think I introduced myself then too but it's been a while since I was posting.
Anyone else want Star Trek to do amazingly...
I'm pretty sure I got the standard one. It's color and has the guy walking towards you with his arms out and palms up. I think it's the same cover as issue 1 but I'm not entirely sure.
I was able to find the hardcover at my local comic shop. My friend is really into comics and I'm not, other than DT. When I heard about the stand I just waited till I figured it was out in...
I just read most of this thread and I must say it is very intruiging.
I think I'm going to agree slightly with R_of_G when he says the cycle will continue. No matter what Roland does there will...
I have 2 favorite moments in the book. One is my favorite from my first readthough and the other is when I was reading the series the second time.
The first time I thought the ending was amazing....
Yeah, I noticed the same thing when I started my second go-around. Really crazy when you think about it that it was written like 30 years apart.
Ummm, what?[/QUOTE]
 if you read it very slowly you can understand it. There are not any punctuation which is impressive. I have a friend that does this and I have the same reaction as you...
My hopes would be for them to have a 7 part movie series, like what Harry Potter has done. However, it is so unrealistic for that to happen. I honestly never thought that series would last all 7...
Thanks all of you for welcoming me. Now I just have to get used to the size of this place.:excited:
Edward Norton as Eddie. My original choice was Heath Ledger though :(
Dillion Freasier as Jake. He was in There Will Be Blood and played the son.
Gary Oldman as The Man In Black
I'm not too...
Hey everyone. I joined a while ago and completely forgot about it. Noticed this thread and thought it would be a good place to start.
One of my friends told me about TDT series about 7 or so...
