Has it been told who actually wrote that Dark Score Stories photo-essay text? It's clearly not King (not his style) but definitely someone related to the miniseries. Or is it our Bev again who was...
That illustration/drawing of the face next to Strawberry Spring, is that an illustration to the actual story? If so, what's the name of the artist, and are the other stories in Ubris illustrated? My...
Ari, what's in the New York Times in your pic?
I don't think Owen nor Stephen wrote the description for the toy figure. Likely written by the company.
Thanks for the pic. It's one that I can't find on Amazon and have never seen it listed on Betts' or at Overlook but mayhap I haven't looked hard enough.
I have A Pilgrim's Progress as scans but would like to see the cover.
I thought it was American Bookseller with A Pilgrim's Progress (an early non-fiction piece by King).
shannon, I don't have a thread just yet. My collection are currently stored in a huge closet for protection since I've had previous problems with silverfish that found books and papers a mighty meal....
shannon, seems like you and I are collecting King in the same way. These days I'm buying lots of magazines (occasionally anthologies and papers) with King fiction and non-fiction, from either Amazon...
But he has often described writing as fun,,,could be a lot before you asked the same question and he was perhaps reminded of his own conception as "hell" is repetition:)
Moaned as he didn't enjoy writing them? I think he stated in an interview that he really love these four tales. Or they are his "babies."
Don't forget, "Transalvanian Cabbage Gulyas".
True, but King didn't make it up as with the others. Speaking of Family Circle, King took that recipe from that magazine.
Lunchtime Gloop and two more recipes (Basic Bread and Egg Puff) were first printed in The New Englanders Cookbook. The only one never reprinted later on is Egg Puff.
I'm curious to the reference about King possibly contributing a story based on The Blob movie. Does anyone if that ever happened? I doubt it, otherwise we would have known a long time ago. But he...
King has a tendency to revise most stories when he collects them in a collection. Just After Sunset is the one where the revisions were extremely minor, probably since the stories are newer and not...
To add to the illustrators for King works-list I often update...a lot of King's nonfiction is illustrated in their mag/newspaper appearances, as is his novels and short fiction.
Carlosdetweiller, what's the name of the illustrator for the Ten Bears article?
and a reprint of the cover letter from King, originally in the US ARCs of Bag of Bones.
Thanks:) Wow, can't wait to read this collection.
