I'll give SK the benefit of the doubt that he doesn't know the details - he probably knows they are in bad shape and this seems like a way to help. Maybe I'm naive, but I doubt that he 1. cares, 2....
I cancelled all my outstanding orders with CD about a year ago, including this book. I had ordered some books (i.e. LEGACIES) nearly 10 years ago. So far I have been able to get the CD books I want...

Guess they needed a $25,000 bridge loan.
It wouldn't be "Stephen King" backing out a contract - it would be "Stephen King Incorporated" bringing down the Hammer of God on top of a small, independent, not especially well-run publishing...

What a pain it's on the sig sheet - I'd be inclined to dismiss it if it was only on the bottom edge, but it's tough to have smudges right on the main page.
I might buy this limited...don't know yet.
But I will say that "Floating Dragon" absolutely terrified me when I read it in the '80s...probably the scariest book I had ever read up until that time,...
That's a good point, but it's not a lettered edition...so there aren't too many/few copies, and there's no other signed edition. So if you're a completist of limited editions who couldn't afford this...
Just an update: approximately 1/2 of our copies of the Limited Edition have now sold and 34 of our 43 copies of the deluxe edition are gone as well.

Our copies of the Deluxe...
I would be happy to jump on CD if I thought it was too high...but while it IS high, I don't think it's TOO high.
Like Brian said, they have to negotiate contracts, etc., so I really doubt they're...
That's all true (although a signed trade IT doesn't go anywhere near $800)..

IT may be viewed as similar to Centipede Press' "'salem's Lot" in that respect (although much of the increase in value to Centipede Press' edition had to do with the the initial low price and...
$500 is pretty healthy, that's for sure. I think it's a fair price, considering the size and reputation of the book....but it is worth noting that Full Dark s/ls with the same 750 limitation sell at...
I don't know about specific dollar amounts but the investment potential for this one is much better than other books, like FDNS, in my opinion. IT rivals THE STAND in terms of popularity among King...
Any early guesses on investment strength?
If it sells for $500, does it stay at $750 for awhile? I think that's my guess...
Higher? A little lower?
Published in three states:
• Slipcased Oversized Hardcover Gift Edition of only 2,750 illustrated copies printed in two colors with two color hot foil stamping, a fine binding, and embossed...
Haha....can't you just say "and we're including an issue of The Atlantic with SK's new story!" Is the hyperbole about "selling out" and "underestimating demand" or "spoke to the publisher" really...
Great observation...
Yes, they'll be publishing Kurt Vonnegut books for years to come. A recent posthumous book, "Look at the Birdie" has an almost identical signature page - it does mention that...
