It appears this dust jacket escaped being foil stamped with gold. I have an Anne Rice book like this.
I don't either and there are quite a few he has that are questionable.
It does look like a BCE. There isn't foil stamping on the dust jacket.
I just placed the book spine near the center of the dust jacket, then laid the book down on it's back and then lined up the DJ ends. Once I was satisfied, I folded the ends over.
I'm guessing it's a Association/Publisher's copy but they might have had the names printed instead of a generic PC line.
These are great for tight books in slipcases. A little annoying at times to put on, but really nice to use and easy to cut.[/QUOTE]

I have one with black felt. It's possible Stu did two orders and they used similar but different materials?

You are correct that you only have the two interior parts of the traycase and missing the stamped outer board that connects them. I wonder if it was sent to the customer that way and they didn't know...
How much for a NF copy of The Shining and then also the same condition copy but with remainder spray. (I just moved this to the correct thread - someone can delete).
Honestly, I would suggest he remove them. I had a few books in Florida that got brown spots on them after fumigation.
I actually saw a second printing in a local Barnes & Noble a few months back, but a while after the initial run was sold out. There were 2 put on display mixed in with the paperback books. I think it...
The book looks fine to me. Some of the books had blue color transfer from the marble boards to the inside of the traycase. The marble paper is fairly delicate and might have some spots or white...
Bag of Bones UK S/L is just a trade edition with a bookplate.
