Stolen from Wikipedia:
Game of Thrones starts in the year 298, which would make Egg which would make him around 100 years old if he were around today, as Ka-Mai noted.

Then you end up with people posting book stuff in the TV thread because they are early in the series and are afraid to come into this thread to discuss what they have read and theories they...
Also, I wonder if the should tag all of that spoiler stuff above, since there are a few people who have been posting in this thread recently that are still pretty early in the series...
I'm going...
Yeah, I think she was mistaken.
Martin spend a good deal of time in the book presenting the idea that red priests have to interpret their god's messages and that they sometimes make mistakes....
Oh, yeah, that's more likely, but not what I think will happen either. I expect Melisandre to bring him back and him to be Azor Ahai. I suppose there could be some time in Ghost before that happens,...

GODDAMNIT. Fuck George R. R. Martin
for killing Jon Snow. If it doesn't turn out in the next book that Tormun Giantsbane shows up at the last minute to save him, or he at least rises like...
I am a little over half way through the book, where,
Tyrion and Penny were just bought at the slave auction
I am loving the book so far, but remain nervous about whatever is coming at the...
What is a god compared to a nice bowl of onion soup?
I loved that![/QUOTE]
Me too. It cracked me up. I've told several people about it already.
Never trust a cook, my lord. They’ll prune you when you least expect it.
I'm about to delve into the audiobook right now. I grabbed it in audiobook so that I can listen to it at work. I am pretty excited.
I was angry with it, but it was the sort of anger that the story intended. Not the throw the book down anger, but the "I hope ever Frey and Lannister(except Tyrion, and possibly Jaimie) dies a...
