I'm comparing it to The Stand adaptation, which managed to integrate King's prose into the comics in an organic fashion. Here's an example of what I mean (best I could find on short notice)

While I ended up dropping The Stand, I still thought it was a well-done adaptation of the novel...just one that is probably better served reading all at once given the slow pace of the story if...
It would depend on the manga style, IMO. Death Note, for example, has some really good art that I wouldn't mind seeing applied to something fantasy-oriented like Dark Tower or Eyes of the Dragon.

I was just disappointed with how Treachery really dropped the ball with the Gabrielle/Marten plot, which should have been the focus of the arc, and instead devoted more time to Furth's Mary Sue. I...

I like to be unpredictable.
In all seriousness, why not have someone like Joe Hill work on the comics? He knows how to write them (Locke & Key is ten times better than any of Furth's stuff), and...
I'd be more interested in the #0 issue if it was written by anyone else but Furth.
I love The Talisman, but given it's slow pace, I don't think it would translate well to a monthly comic format. That, and the fact that Furth is doing it, makes me think that I'll probably end up...
From Liljas-library...
Del Rey, an imprint of Random House US’ Ballantine Books, has acquired the comic book and graphic novel rights to The Talisman by Stephen King and Peter Straub. A monthly...
