I don't even bother watching anymore. I've usually never heard of half the artists. I just see the commercials for it and when they show who is nominated and/or performing I start to sound like an owl.
Who? Who?

Frankly I was quite surprised by it. I didn't know what to expect, and the entrance was cheap (a tenner but had a free invite), and there were companies/antiquarians/sellers from all over the world. US, UK, netherlands, italy, german, etc
If I remember, I may share some pictures later on
Not sure how much it did cost them, but I thought to myself that it would have been nice if Paul (Suntup) was there too :)

I remember hearing one of the exhibitors saying that they were going to a similar fair, next month, in Boston
Probably this, I guess : https://www.abaa.org/bostonbookfair

The Seattle Antiquarian Book Fair is in three weeks or so, and like every year for probably the last couple of decades I'll be attending...it's progressively featured fewer booksellers and more ephemera / vintage posters / postcards / etc. dealers, but even at a rough estimate of 75% books, it's still a solid fun few hours.

Going through a lot of stuff at the moment, and I've been pretty much listening to a few specific meaningful songs in loop recently, and this is one of them since it's been released last week :
blink-182 - ONE MORE TIME

Stevie Nicks Barbie doll. Words I never thought I would hear together.
Awesome !
Back to work after being off work 1 month
I was starting to get used to breathe and live without having to think about work at all
There's an online art challenge called #Inktober2023, where each day there's a different word prompt. I haven't put pen to paper in years, but yesterday I was inspired ... the word was Path.

It's funny how I am on social media, but don't talk about my life anywhere else but here...
Anyway... not getting into details, but I am in a full blasting heavy metal mode since about a week, as loud as I can (it's good not to have any neighboors, really... as it goes to 86db apparently :D), and have booked some time in a rage room in a few days :)))
Never heard of a rage room. Had to look it up. Are you supplying your own stuff to bust?
According to their website you can bring some of your own stuff
But otherwise, yep, it's just a closed place that provides stuff to break with a baseball bat or whatever... could do the same with a baseball bat and bring your own stuff in a field or whatever, but I live in Paris so...
I listen to a lot of stuff, but I am not into trash/death/grind or this of unrecognisable shit.
I recently created a small playlist of easy shit to blast as loud as I can in my flat, and it mostly is :
2 Middle Fingers - State of Mine
Break Stuff - Limp Bizkit
Chop Suey! - System Of A Down
Dana-Dan - Bloodywood
Down with the Sickness - Disturbed
Get This - Slipknot
Hallowed Be Thy Name - Cradle Of Filth
Overall - Vended
Pump It - Electric Callboy
Y'all Want a Single - Korn
Solar eclipse sooo cool. Dark, cool, birds quiet...
On the subject of music...
This is a YouTube link to my eldest son's partner, (and mother of my Grandson :rose:) - Gemma Mathews: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFcVFEGJ7oU
For those that are into Metal, she was in a band called Blacklit Canopy. Some may also know that the other member of that band is now the lead singer of a group called Sleep Token and these days goes by the name of Vessel...
If you like her solo stuff, please like and subscribe as she's trying to grow her channel.
Anyone know what the technical name is for a bookcase with multiple glass doors that can be opened separately to display, say, specimens?
Curio display cabinet?
