I read it in one night and had to wait three long years until The Drawing of the Three. I've been noodling around this site and I'm impressed at the length and breadth of information available. In answer to the rest of the questions ... favorite character is Roland and the first book is still my favorite - I think it has one of the best opening sentences of any novel I've ever read ("The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed.")
