David, I’m so sorry about that local kid you mentioned the other day. What a tragedy for the family and the community. On the work front, I hope it goes in your favor!
Just had my year-end review (company year end March 31).....corporate parent is keeping us open for now but I know that could change....BUT VERY good news at the moment (I feared the worst, and the "talk" suggested it was bad). My boss said take it a day at a time (which I think is smart)...My belief....COVID situation has turned tables on so so much that corporate thought too much change, so we remain intact for now.
Gotta run to this other "real" job, but YAY!
Does anyone recall a novel in which a character has a sign over his home's front door (on the inside) that said "The Asylum," by which he meant that the entire outside world was an insane asylum? I'm curious about this but can't recall what it was. It feels like a Vonnegut thing, but doesn't have to be.
That's a great news, David! :)
One day at a time is a great way to live.
Great news, David!
HI GUYS!
Firstly, I want to extend my deepest well wishes to my DT family through the pandemic. Though it's been YEARS since I've been here, I've kept in touch with some of you guys (mainly the incredible Patrick & amazing Karen!) but I've also been a member on the King Collectibles Facebook page which kept reminding me that I needed to come in here and say hi one of these days!
I've been doing a LOT of traveling. A majority of the funds I would once dedicate to books has been rerouted to airfare and excursions... but with some free time on my hands I wanted to at least pop in and give a big howdy!
Great to see you here, Kenny! I enjoy seeing pics from your travels over on FB. Now that you’ve been taking a break from collecting for a while, have you kept the collection you already built? As I recall, it was extensive and far-reaching well outside the King family arena.
David! My friend your life certainly has changed a lot since our NYC days! I'm glad so many people get to experience how great you are!
And Patrick, yes - for the most part I've kept everything (I think I sold a few) but otherwise much intact. I've missed a few King limited editions in my absence but I've managed to keep getting Joe Hill as they come out. I'm very much enjoying his work.
LOADED from Strange Weather tore me up for days.
I'm actually back because Patrick reminded me of all my friends here! So TY, P!
Nice to hear from you, Kenny. :) It's been a while, but I'm glad you're having a good time!
For you folks here that collect the Borderlands Little Books; there is a member on the CD forum that was sent the wrong number and is looking for 230. Should any one of you end up with it and wouldn't mind a trade.
Edit: This will be the McCammon title that was released.
I don't know if somebody here is interested in IT, i know i am; i just can't afford it right now otherwise i would've bought it. [emoji6]
But someone (i don't know the seller) is selling it on Ebay.
