Perhaps i am not the first to notice this odd coincidence from the wastelands book. Stephen King tell us that Jake's nickname prior to extraction is 'Bama.
Now given the the distance from NY to Alabama this is an unlikely handle to give a new york city child.
King even states this is our secret.

The last thing I want to propose is the illuminati label people are flinging around these days.
Bama does not refer to the state of Alabama. It refers to the team Alabama Crimson Tide. So there is no reference to Obama in that one. Bama fan for 40 years now, so you can take it as a fact:)
