I fucking love Fallout and I'm not excited for this at all. They'll find a way to make it not Fallout.

It's obvious, but I will mention GTA. They have been wanting to turn that into a film franchise for years. But the great part about GTA is doing whatever you want no matter how evil and ridiculous it is. A TV show version will feel hollow compared to the games.
@Mike I have mixed feelings about your post. I want to agree with you, but at the same time I think a great story is a great story regardless of platform. We've seen stories move in the opposite direction (movies/tv shows to games) and a few have gone on to receive critical acclaim. Something like TellTales' Walking Dead series, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic are considered gaming royalty at this point, precisely because they understood that the world building should be the most important aspect, the interactive bells and whistles a distant second.
If the Amazon series properly respects the lore and world building that Bethesda has painstakingly cultivated, this could turn out to be something special. Same with HBO and their Last Of Us series.
I see where you're coming from but when it comes to Fallout, does anyone play Fallout for the story? The same for GTA. As for The Last of Us, how do you make that seem any different than The Walking Dead and other similar zombie/infected stories? That's coming from a person that considers the first game one of my top 5 games of all time.Quote:

I'm so fucking happy they used I Don't Want To Set the World on Fire for the trailer. It went perfectly with it.

The trailer looks amazing and Walter slays in everything he does. I played the game and understand the comments above. I will watch it and understand that it is just based on the game.
I’ve enjoyed the first two episodes. Feels like Fallout to me.
First two episodes have been excellent. It looks like this show got it right with critics and audiences.
