Is that Bill Shakespeare?
Matt Foley trivia: Chris Farley's classmate and rugby teammate at Marquette University was named Matt Foley. They remained good friends until Farley's passing and Matt Foley, now Father Matt Foley, is the head pastor at St. James Church in Arlington Heights, IL where I attend mass.
He shared some funny, and touching, stories about Chris when the Farley documentary was airing in 2015 and his secret was out.
Glenn Chadbourne had a signing at Gerald Winters' store yesterday

Good for Glenn. I hope it went well.
seeing the difference of opinion from the first page to the last page of this thread is amazing
Gerald posted some items on instagram
Sounds like the shop was renovating

Booo, I thought he got the message and packed up his little shyster shop. I guess not.
Chase, good to hear from you.
I have posted on my collection thread a little piece of theatre that Gerald concocted. This was just prior to his photoshopped emails that he sent to me,
in an attempt to discredit you during a transaction we were completing.
The man has no boundaries and no shame.
Yes, I went by the shop when I did a roadtip stop in Bangor in late June. All I saw in the windows at that time were tools.
The biggest one being Gerald!!
Gerald hasn’t posted anything on Facebook since this Misery case he made. I remember a bunch of people
Were really bothered by it. It was pretty much a total copy of what Paul has did with his Suntup
Production. I guess many kept calling him out on it and he was deleting the posts and they were asking him why etc.
Then it came down. I seen a thread on FB where they were Talking about it and slamming him for copyright. The case was pretty much a copy according to the pictures they showed. Some were pretty upset that Gerald took down their comments. Last I’ve really heard of him and that was months ago.
He's simply a fakir (YES I SPELLED IT THAY WAY)
I don’t think it qualifies as copyright infringement. Copyright doesn’t cover designs, it only covers intellectual property - original works of authorship like literary, dramatic, musical, and artistic works, poetry, novels, movies, songs, computer software, and architecture. You can’t copyright an idea, or the way an object looks.
If the design of an object is innovative, you can submit a design patent, which prevents other people from copying it. If Paul had done that, he could try to stop Gerald from selling those tray cases. However, I think the tray cases are different enough from Paul’s design that it would be difficult to prevent him from selling them.
Of course, if Gerald has been trying to pass the tray cases off as Suntup products, that’s a different story – that would be fraudulent. But just stealing design elements from some of Paul’s work, and using them in his own objects, is, unfortunately, not illegal unless Paul had patented those specific design elements as innovative.
I realize that. I’m solely stating what the people were saying on this thread. It was a lot like what Paul did but it was a case and not a book. Someone asked where he has been as no posts and that’s the last FB post I’m aware of.

Yes, I understand. I was just commenting on the subject since you had brought it up.
I think you could argue that the case design was a form of plagiarism. Plagiarism is an ethical breach, it doesn’t break any laws.
