The first part just strikes me of the American South or Midwest in general...and again at the end.

The things on the second door could all be described as "Kitsch"

I'm going for a stretch on this one as I haven't really figured out the riddles, but overall it seems to reflect different class structures. As with the previous riddle, the door letters spell out a clue as to what is being sought and in this case it is WHERE, so we are looking for a location or place.

I think the answer is an Aeroplane. Each door represents a class of travel, Economy, Premium Economy, Business and First Class.

Alas no, wrong direction.

Jon, figured out one piece of the middle, the stroppygoblin recently added to it.

I think the first piece is Gothic
The painting is "American Gothic" and a Gothic spoon is elongated. Smoke and warmth are harder to pin down though...

The last section is Hurricane

Hurricane is a type of cocktail glass.
This might be a bit tenuous, but there is an area called the Hurricane deck in Missouri. I cant find any reference to any ships called Hurricane that were ever in Tokyo Bay.

The first door E and R are solved. They need just need some connection to be completed. The door WH and the final door E still need some redirection of thought. Blame Google proofing.

For full disclosure, I was pretty vague about the last door as I figured it would all fall together with the previous doors. I almost added Maraschino cherry to the cocktail clue and whaling ship to the Tokyo Bay clue. Instead I just tried to Google proof the answer.

A goose and a full box of goose down soft tissues are awarded to both stroppygoblin and Jon to be divided as needed. Just saying, some folk's allergies are worst than others.:lol:
