Yes!! Sadly, being the best and most prolific comic story standards for "Superhero films" has worked against the entire Marvel genre. Most of the MCU films have taken a beating here solely due to their numbers. Being the best and setting the standard by which all others are measured shouldn't count against the genre simply because they have done it so often, IMHO

I still find The Avengers boring as hell.

Birdman takes place almost entirely in a theater and contains way more energy and is way more entertaining to me.

Birdman, I thought it was an excellent film.
