Mine was perfect and I think I sold it on Facebook for $155 shipped
OMG! Really? I sold 90% of my GE's (as I stopped collecting cause of the money grab) and the rest went to Betts. They are HUNGRY for books on there... I sold around 60 of my readers too! I am a member of 3 groups... GREAT people and no one EVER argues or fights. You on Facebook?

It just depends on your situation. If you can wait around for the right buyer who doesn't care about the price per se. 05-06-2016 04:16 AMwebstar1000 05-06-2016 04:20 AMAKCI'd sell mine for $500 USD +Shipping! No Whelan piece and a blank # line.
Comes with the large, clear slipcase! 05-06-2016 04:21 AMwebstar1000 05-06-2016 04:22 AMjsmcmullen92After George sold his last copy I bought the next one that popped up on ebay for $600. But that was after I knew that there would not be anymore for $500. I think they are going to go up now that George it out of them. They were >$600 from CP so anywhere around there, I have been watching one that is starting bid at $800 with no bidders. 05-06-2016 04:40 AMstroppygoblin 05-06-2016 04:44 AMwebstar1000If you get one UNDER $2K with a Whelan.. you scored. Any Whelan from Knowing Darkness is at least $1500... I am sure David could chime in here and PERHAPS this is what our new member is referring too although it was asked with no Whelan original. 05-06-2016 04:49 AMwizardsrainbowI bought mine (with Whelan) at issue price years ago.....in fact, Michael did a separate piece for me so I ended up with 2 Whelan pieces...I sold one to a member here...I misremember if I kept the book or not which leaves me befuddled as the book is no small piece...Maybe I have it in my storage unit somewhere.
The Whelan piece I kept was a freebie he gave me for posing as Father Callahan.

This is the one I sold (regrettably) for a SONG a few years ago. Oh well. 05-06-2016 05:55 AMMr. Rabbit Trick 05-06-2016 06:00 AMwebstar1000IF.. and I mean IF.. the movie is good and they continue on... the artwork will raise in value. No question... as more collectors scramble for the books they will learn about Michael Whelan and as many of us... work to earn a piece of his work. Whether the actor is black or white will have no bearing on the price of WHelans work. I would make a hefty bet on that... I find books fluctuate more in value than the art... most likely Alan... his artwork will flow along at the same rate. 05-07-2016 12:56 AMJimimckHi team. Thoughts on the value of Letters from Hell, PC?
Thanks
