Meh. I already own the far superior Suntup edition and have absolutely zero interest in this version. It looks like it was designed by a kid! :nope:
Eh, I bought one...but missed out on the signed edition at $225 that sold out fast. Anyone here get one??
I bought an unsigned one.
My other MISERY wants some company.
Hey, what do you know!
...They used Kinsella again (who did the limp artwork for FS' The Shining); I suppose his style is a better fit for Misery.
One thing I didn't find is the release date? Does anyone know if these are ready to go or being distributed later in the summer?
I got a signed copy. Woke up at 5:45am EST and checked and they had just listed them. I got notification that it's been shipped as of 9:15am.
Sadly, I was awake at 4:45 CST, but had gotten no notification they were on sale then.
I'm told that the 100 signed copies sold out in 30 minutes. Congrats to those who got one!
... when most of you were asleep
Damn..... think 2021 is not my year.... i missed the signed/limited LATER,
the signed In Tall Grass and now i missed the s/l Misery....:deadhorse:
Without a signature, this is completely unimpressive. I think the cover is awful and the illustrations are tepid. And I like their edition of The Shining. I keep almost buying it. Though if someone wants to send me a free copy of Misery I wouldn't be furious. But I was bummed when I saw the product page. No one likes to be underwhelmed.
Missed out on the signed. Bought the unsigned to go with my copy of The Shining. It doesn't blow me away but it does look to be a nice edition for the bookshelf.
All of these onsales are turning into shit shows. Plus you have the exponentially increasing reach of Facebook responsible for adding MANY new collectors to the buying pool. it is NEVER going to be easy in the future to get a signed copy. Those days are gone. If you are not on your game you will not be getting one.
Is there a limitation to the 1st printing?
Got one! Paid $1000 for it. But wanted one
