My kingdom for a tie!
Oh, there is a tie. Oh well, never mind!
Don't get so excited... long time left.

Kubrick is back in the lead ! :D
bears don't really mind either way
Not any more, I'm afraid theres a knot in the tie now!
Still a close race ...
Finally decided to go with Kubrick. That was a tough decision though.
Tied. You've gotta be shitting me. Where are all the Kubrick (ie, cinema) fans?
This is incredible.
Del Toro has made some fun movies, but many of Kubrick's are pure genius.
sk
For me, both main Del Toro movies are pure genius.
How many of Kubrick's films do you consider genius as well, Jean?
Actually, none. They don't really appeal to me, and I use the word "genius" sparingly. I still think that he is a very, very good, very talented director, but none of his movies has ever become part of my own ursine universe, or my furry soul.
The only Del Toro movie I'd maybe consider as genius is Pan's Labyrinth. His other films, while still very good, aren't a top-tier level.
my personal everything is The Devil's Backbone.
(which reminds me - I still owe Lady Linda a review on this)
Kubrick advances !
:o Who did that?
Ah well. Del Toro got much more votes than I thought he would, at least.
And the Devil's Backbone is definitely a film I really want to see. I love the style Del Toro uses in his work. Even his "blockbuster" films Hellboy have something rather unique and wonderfully visual about them - I think the forest god in HB2 is beautiful to look at. A lot of films use special effects these days, but there are few that look as gorgeous to look at as what I've seen in Del Toro's films.
