I just was wondering , that nobody here mentioned the great Abercrombie ;D
I started reading the First Law trilogy a couple of years ago, and re-read it at
least 4 times now, and he made it on #2 of my all time favorite authors.
He is publishing on a more or less once a year base on Sub.Press
and a fantastic author in the fantasy genre!
I will add infos to the collectable books soon, but if you liked
Game of Thrones you will love the first law!
The Books (until now) are grouped into 3 trilogies
1)
- The Blade Itself
- Last Argument of Kings
- Before They Are Hanged
2) // Not attached to the first three books, but playing in the same scenery
- Best Served Cold
- The Heroes
- Red Country
3) // New setting
- Half a King
- Half a World
- (coming 2016) Half a War
All books where issues as a S/L from our friends at Subterranean Press.
With every book you had the right of first refusal on the next (1-8 until now) but there always have some been available after the "save-periode"
Even now there are single copies of The Heroes and Red Country available at the press, while Best Served Cold is allready selling for 2x the issue price on eBay. (?!)

Seams that only The blade itself has a different artwork (Sub.Press)
http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800...673/R6h2Ur.jpg 03-04-2015 01:51 PMcit74Very nice addition - I wasn't able to get ahold of the subpress blade itself copy (seller didn't have it - and I wasn't willing to pay that much for other complete set) - so I settled for the UK 1/1 03-04-2015 01:58 PMPriestAdding the last two missing books, out of the second trilogy

http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800...673/rB3Fci.jpg 03-04-2015 02:01 PMPriestyes its crazy how the Blade increased in price in the last two years.
It seams that there a way less on the market then of the other two books - buts thats just gut feeling.
I was happy to get a matching set just this week, right after your goldsboros hint i found a seller in the UK who made me a very good offer for all three.
But i get the point, i am still not sure if i will continue with the Subpress Series for the Shattered Seas.
They just increased to 125,- + 50 Shipping per Book, you get a lot of signed 1/1 for that money 03-28-2015 12:16 AMBookfriendHello folks
been lurking for a while, but thought I had join this thread since I am a collector of the hard back versions of Joe´s books. I looks like I cannot make a photo album as long as I am not a full blooded member with 5 posts. And I am not really keen on linking photos from a website to this place.
I own about 17-19 of Joe´s books and one comic book. 03-28-2015 12:40 AMBookfriendMe again (with post number 3 and counting)
Some years ago I bought the first law trilogy of ebay for 120 usd plus shipping. They were published in the US by PYR and stand about and inch smaller than the british editions from Gollancz. But they are still larger than the BCAs that were published in arrangement by Gollancz.
As to the PYR editions I am a little confused: They do have an ISBN number, and nowhere are they marked as BCAs, but they do not have a price on the inside of the covers so I guess they are "kind of" BCAs? Over the last year the going rates on ebay seem to be around 30-100 USD for each of the three PYR books. Do not get med started on the going prices of the first 3 Gollancz editions.
The later 3 books in the first law world (BSC, The Heroes and Red country) were all done by Orbit, and very well so I might add.
