Hot take here but I initially applauded their decision to move away from the park. I felt if they stayed there too much longer the seasons would have felt too 'monster of the week' in format. I wanted to see what the ramifications of the A.I breaking loose would mean for humanity on a global scale.Quote:

I was a fan of the original show so I'll probably watch. But I have no idea if it will succeed or not. These "reboots" where they bring back the original cast of a old show or movie are always such a crap shoot.
They've done a ton of them and some have died a quick death and some went on for multiple seasons. Rosanne, Saved By the Bell, Punky Brewster, Full House, Boy Meets World, ICarly, The Karate Kid... just off the top of my head
The That 70's Show Revival looks beyond terrible. While Red and Kitty are the best characters on the show, they don't function without the kids...that they developed relationships and bonded with the kids independently is what made them such dynamic characters over the course of the show. This looks like they're just forcing the same dynamic with less talented actors in hamfisted roles just for the sake of cheap nostalgia. I would be much more interested in seeing Red and Kitty living in the 90s in a totally different house in a new city...at least then if you wanted to go the grand kid route, it would feel fresher than just a paint-by-numbers hackjob.
The only thing I hope that comes from this is they put the original show back on Netflix. sigh, I'll probably watch the first episode because I hate myself and I should be punished.

So I was completely mistaken and thought I had tried watching The White Lotus, but it was some other show :lol: So I started watching it last night and was hooked. I'm three episodes in.
White Lotus IS SO GOOD!

Finished White Lotus! I absolutely loved the first season. Just about all the characters were so despicable but yet it was funny at the same time. I also enjoyed the second season but not as much as the first.
