I don't hate Holly but it is kind of funny how she's become King's new main character. Maybe she'll join up with Roland's ka-tet next.

I love Holly but, on the flip side, I don't want her to become King's new go-to or crutch.
And regarding stereotypes, I work with kids in our school's Special Ed. dept. and I can say that King gets Asperger's. It rings very true.
If It Bleeds
Release Date: May 5th, 2020
From #1 New York Times bestselling author, legendary storyteller, and master of short fiction Stephen King comes an extraordinary collection of four new and compelling novellas—Mr. Harrigan’s Phone, The Life of Chuck, Rat and the title story If It Bleeds — each pulling readers into intriguing and frightening places.
The novella is a form King has returned to over and over again in the course of his amazing career, and many have been made into iconic films, including “The Body” (Stand By Me) and “Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption” (Shawshank Redemption). Like Four Past Midnight, Different Seasons, and most recently Full Dark, No Stars, If It Bleeds is a uniquely satisfying collection of longer short fiction by an incomparably gifted writer.
Super excited for this one.. oh wait, always excited for new SK.
Love to know if these are all crime novellas or a mix.
interesting, all the rumors I heard indicated this would be a Holy Gibney book. I wonder if she is featured in one or more of the stories.
A novella from King is a novel by any other author!
Seems like
The description is on the amazon UK page for the audiobook version
As for the UK coverQuote:
News people have a saying: 'If it bleeds, it leads'. And a bomb at Albert Macready Middle School is guaranteed to lead any bulletin.
Holly Gibney of the Finders Keepers detective agency is working on the case of a missing dog - and on her own need to be more assertive - when she sees the footage on TV. But when she tunes in again, to the late-night report, she realises there is something not quite right about the correspondent who was first on the scene. So begins 'If It Bleeds', a stand-alone sequel to the No. 1 bestselling THE OUTSIDER featuring the incomparable Holly on her first solo case - and also the riveting title story in Stephen King's brilliant new collection.
Dancing alongside are three more wonderful long stories from this 'formidably versatile author' (The Sunday Times) - *'*Mr Harrigan's Phone', 'The Life of Chuck' and 'Rat'. All four display the richness of King's storytelling with grace, humour, horror and breathtaking suspense. A fascinating Author's Note gives us a wonderful insight into the origin of each story and the writer's unparalleled imagination.

Ok, I'll admit I am happy to hear that the Holy story is only a novella and not a full novel.
Also surprised to see all of these announcements, but no announcement on stephenking.com.
There is an announcement near the bottom of the page stating what Kingfan2323 said up top
That's cool. Another anthology. Still have a lot to catch up on, but new King is a good thing I think.
Just ordered the slipcase from CD!!!
Thanks ari!
In the meantime, the official UK cover release is postponed to tomorrow
Very pleasantly surprised they're short stories. Also did anyone happen to read the excerpt yet?

That also applies for the UK version as well. 10-03-2019 01:41 PMmaeInterestingly, King's been putting out a collection every five years: Full Dark, No Stars in 2010, The Bazaar of Bad Dreams in 2015, and now If It Bleeds in 2020.
